Curriculum is a plan for learning, with the main emphasis on knowledge and skills that are judged important to learn. Instruction is the way by which that learning will be accomplished.

To meet the needs of the student in Area 11 – Chicago Public Schools, and achieve the student outcomes described in the standards, the connection between curriculum and instruction will be used to integrate our resources. Using innovative, research-based teaching strategies, technical knowledge and the varied resources and contexts available in our schools, we strive to meet the diverse needs of the student in all Area 11 schools.

Our goal is the development of learners that excel in critical thinking, problem solving, and effective communication skills. Students will acquire all the knowledge, standards, skills and understanding they will require throughout their academic career and become life-long learners.
